David Horder Kitchen Example Photos. Bishop's Stortford Property Photographer. This property was shot for Russell Property Stansted on 6th November 2024.

A really lovely house, with generous internal spaces, but I was very taken with the kitchen. A tricky day with regards to the light, which was gloomy, flat and dull and I had a choice to make.

The owner was an electrician and there was a very impressive light above the sink unit, which looked lovely on. However due to the dark day, with kitchen lights on, the room was brighter than the outside was.

So I decided to actually shot it with lights on and off, but went with off as it is a light, bright kitchen. It's nice to have lights but this room doesn't need them during the day and I wanted to to look that way.

There was plenty of opportunities for some lifestyle close up shots and for the patio doors to the opened.

The addition of the blue sky was done in post production as mentioned, it was a grey and wet day.
